Lenape Regional's excellent wrestling team per- formed outstandingly in every meet. The grapplers who practiced laboriously in this, one of the most grueling contests of individual efforts, were almost consistent winners with an ll-3 record. Both the coach and the team experienced an array of tremendous spirit and unwavering drive to pro- gress together toward victory. With such standout wrestlers as Jerry Bisignano, Mike Gatto, Fritz Hinchman, and many others, the Indians literally Htore up the competition at the District Champi- onships, winning 9 of the 12 weight divisions. Through this teamis efforts, the popularity of this sport in Lenape and throughout the county, has grown exceedingly. And with live experienced lettermen re- turning next year, Coach Schnepf hopes to have an- other powerful season. 177

Glenn Sudeck, George Dietrich, Jack Lattimore, Russ Thomas Glenn Webb, Dave McMillian, Cliff Gardner. ROW 3. John Shaw, Dan Lattimore, Randy Pichtelberger, Joe Pulio, Greg Bekes, Mark Waecher, Steve McGuire, Robert Pardoe. Brian Cook does the breaststroke. Backstroke is the specialty of Bill 7-3 RECORD FOR THE BOYS' SWI TEAM Mr. Debolt coached our mermen to an excellent 7-3 record this season. The three year-old team has progressed immense ly since its beginnings, and this year, through its line record of dual meet erformances, will be able to compete at the State meet held in Princeton. Defeating Haddonlield in a de cisive victory, the swimming Indians brought home a third place in their league. Harry Bauman, in the 200 yard freestyle and butteril had their respective races of the breaststroke and sprints. Most im pressive, however, was our individual medley team, losing only through disqualiiications. With the team losing only a few seniors through gradua tion this year, next season appears to be very strong Carothers. Sue Lester demonstrates the freestyle. 1 78 a very successful season as did Brian Cook and Jeff Gillian in Ed Klarman and Brian Cook display their individual style
