ROW2. Charles Gaehring, Larry Beaury, Ray Weston, EOPHYTE SQUADS OFF TO A GOOD BEGINNING Although our bowling teams did not perform out- standingly this season, the neophyte squads did rela- tively wel. The boys ended with a record of 20 wins, 32 losses and a fourth lace in the South Jersey In- terscholastic League, wlliile the girls captured a sec- ond in the League with a Winning 24-20 slate. Standout Eerformers for the boys were Rich Sa- chleban, hig series of 606, and John Jones, high sin- gle - 234. For the girls, freshman Jane Merkle had a 175 high single and also the best average. Scores are kept by Charles Gaehring, Ray Weston, Diane and Car ol Seitz while Melva Patterson goes for a strike.

VARSITY CROSS-COUNTRY ROW 1. Bruce Baker, Walt Kirchner. ROW 2. Larry Scott, Bob Porch, Larry O'Keefe, Steve Baker. JUNIOR VARSITY ROW 1. Paul Ceban, John Cianflone. ROW 2. Allen Monahan, Chris Countess. LO G-DISTANCE UNNERS HAVE WINNING SEASO Lenapels fine cross-country team completed their season with a 7 and 4 record. The only Indian team which has never had a losing season, produced four All-County Champions, this year, in seniors Larry O,Keefe and Bruce Baker, and juniors Steve Baker and Bob Porch. Of the seven high schools in the Bur- lington County League, our harriers captured a second, and did formidably with a fifth at the All- South Jersey Group 4 meet. Larry O'Keefe, a run- ning scholar, shattered the previous record by 28 sec- onds on the 2.3 mile Lenape course during an out- standing meet with Rancocas Valley Regional. One of the truly momentous occasions, however, took place during the awards assembly, when Coach McCabe presented his heart warmingv resume of the season and his expert views on the qualifications of a long-distance runner.
