Mt. Manganui. The beach at the foot of this mountain is a '4Surfer's Paradise. With Piha, a beach further north, Manganui gathers the biggest crowds for surfing all year round.

The Distributive Education Club of America CD.E.C.A.j instills in its members not only a better understanding of the retail field but also a better civic atti- tude, In the Future Nurses of America's CF.N.A.j planned activities are included trips to nearby hospitals and convales- cent homes where the girls can observe the many aspects of nursing. Approximately seventy future teachers meet once a month to further their interests in the teaching profession. The members of the Future Teachers of America fF.T.A.j participate in several conferences and conventions as well as perform many services to the school. Led by Mr. Woodford, the Future Farmers of America CF.F.A.j select the Burlington County Farm Fair Queen contestant and send four delegates to the F.F.A. National Convention in Kansas. The Future Homemakers of America QF.H.A.J is comprised of girls who intend to devote their faculties to making homelife more en- joyable. With the aid of their advisers these live clubs give their members a chance to-develop skills in various and im- portant occupations. 2 137
