JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS. Jay Layman, Vice-Presidentg Fred Dylla President Janet Kern Treasurerg Mary Smith, Recording Secretary, Marcia Hahn, Corresponding Secretary Next to the senior year, the junior year is the most exciting. With no precedent to guide us, this year we produced the first Talent Show. Our Class provided an entertaining hour with talent which surprised us all. Another first was the long-awaited Junior Play, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW by William Shakespeare. All the cast worked diligently in improving their acting ability and expression. Other Juniors provided sets, props, costumes, make-up, and even designed the programs. We received our class rings at last and all that special day was heard the request, Turn my ring!,' Our class project this year in- volved selling assorted chocolates and chocolate bars. The sale was completed with enthusiasm and high profits. In October the college preparatory students took their first college board tests. The results were met with various reactions including the promise of improvement. The members of the Junior class spent the rest of the year preparing for their futures and the social highlight of the year, The Junior-Senior Prom. Beryl lrick was prom chairman with Velma Bethel as second in command. These two girls and their many committees worked assiduously to make the Prom a success. With great expectations the class of 1967 looks forward to that magical year when we are seniors, but the memories of our Junior year will remain forever in our hearts. 104
