You can go through life and never see some of lifes greatest beauties unless you make an effort to really open yourj eyes and look deep. When you stop and take the time to discover life's beauty, you may realize for the first time that there is meaning and purpose to it. This school has been blessed with something far more precious, yet similar in beauty -- this being the lives anda are of our Students . Take time to behold the joy involved in the lives of our children — the pleasures of their smiles, their young sense of humor, the glow of each different yet similar-personality. When you stop and discover this -- you begin to dis- “ cover the great beauty of life. We would like to express a sincere and deeply felt gratitude bo ONE person who has not only discovered this great beauty, but tas devoted himself in the J.ast few years, to showing this beauty to all of us. He has shown us the importance of protecting, cultivating, and enhancing the beauty of these Roses of ours. For the past few years he has been a great principal and teacher. His wonderful personality enables him to listen and un lerstand the teenagers today. He looks at problems from more 'than one point of view. He gives everyone a chance. This man s fair, kind, respectful of the students and treats them justly and equally. He has made many contributions to our sohool, but just to 1 a few: He has helped the Student Council to give us a student union, intramural sports, and the Competition Bowl . He also .helped put into process the computer room. He has been a •genuine motivating force behind the thriving School Spirit at •Lenapah High School. On behalf of the Roses of Lenapah High School, we the — Eagle Staff, proudly and with lifetime memories, dedicate this 1986-87 annual to YOU -- Mr. Terry M. Everyone worked hard and with much discipline. With a couple of scrimmages under our belts, everyone looked foward to the upcoming season. With fire in their eyes, the team went into the first game wanting to avenge the loss they took last year from Watts. The rest of the season wasn't as easy as the first game having to play four that made it to the state tournament. The best game of the season was the Homecoming game against the then second ranked team, Shidler. CO Having held them to only a disappointing 1 point loss, things looked up. The season didn't end as most people wished, with only a 5-5 record, A disappointing season hasn't stopped the hard work, but has made next year's team •work even harder. The Cheerleaders attended a UCA Cheerleading Camp, winning many ribbons and a spirit stick. They also participated in the Tulsa State Fair Cheers Competition. The cheerleaders cheered at every football game, and the four senior cheerleaders went on to cheer for the basketball season. One thing is for sure the cheerleaders work hard and together to accomplish many victories for themselves and for the support of the teams, and also the band. To be a sponsor it takes much time and patience. Mrs. McKellips had the patience to stick with the cheerleading practices, dance routines, and especially camp. Mrs. Jersey lent an ear in the times for tears, singing, or really anything that was said or done. ttont tow: Jdn CUllman, Snare King, Clint' Faulkner, Kerry Lixry, Chris ( tens, Eirian Gaip- stm, Todd Gaskill, Brian Egetmeier, Derrick Chews, Mike King. JJsTf. pra itSfc p ? Curl is yWlscn (----is “ -J4— ’ Here we are in our Senior year. We have worked hard to come this far. Now the time for decisions has come: Like how to pay for our car. We have stuck together for 12 long years, and we've watched each other grow up. But if we are adults now, why do we feel like a frightened pup? Is it because we know we must find our own way? In a world we know can destroy, or is it that in the back of our minds we still want to be a little girl or boy. They tell us our lives have just started, and we think, Oh great, now what? What problems must be answeredarri what armies mist be fought. We are the leaders of the future. The royalty of days to come. The changes we have planned will most likely shock some. So with our memories in one hand and our future in the other we will venture out into the world to search, learn, and discover. —Shawna Orand 9 86 amh DO THESE GUYS REALLY LOOK r Mr a H cyn I d III s u tit IktcjG.
