Her guiding hand and understanding heart has started hundreds of boys and girls on the Royal Road to Learning in our Lenapah Grade school. Mrs. McConkey is completing her fifteenth year as primary teacher, 4-H Club Sponsor, and was chosen as the Nowata County Teacher of 1959 to represent Nowata County at the State Fair in Oklahoma City last autumn. She is active in her church work.
