Class Prophecy In the year 1964 as we begin our tour of New York we find Anton Eberhart and Harold Jacobs slttirg on a bench in Times square discussing their newly developed cigarettes Atomic Puffers Carol J geist who is vacationing from housekeeping sees them and Joins the convers tion Asked if she has seen any Ol their old classmates Carol tells them about a dress shop she patronized in which Norma Reed was making th wedding veils Lulu Bel e Qaxby was making the gown and Edna Rudisell was putting the train on the track Deciding it would be fun to v1s1t their old classmates they xenture into a fash ionable hotel lobby and are greeted by Gloria Moyer a receptionist in Donald bchriders pig salon Dons other assistant is Norma Stabenow who curls the pig s tails As they go up to the second floor in Rita Starr and Fr ida Hodgin s elevators they are trying to see the top of things they see Jun cr Keppen watering his petunias Suddenly they hear an airplane and are told to look out because Jerry Foethe is coming to fertilize the petunias When Jerry s plire goes over Joanne drowned out As they go down the street they see and enter a cheese factory when they find Marilyn Prasse washing cheesecloths Marilyn tells them that they will find Bob Staub ln the back turning cheese The next place they visit is a swimming pool run by Denn s St man Dennis is raising mermaids and keeping them true to form with the help of his d1et1c1an Anna Marie Schoeny Their next stop IS another place of amusement the bowling alley run by B111 Rice On arrival they sign up for bowling instructions given by Janet Yeakle From the bowling alley they go to a shopping center where they can t decide upon a purchase Should they buy Elaine Brotts Padacol Larry Hawes chloro phyll pop or Jack Confers homemade m1lk9 As they continue down the street a flashy sign advertising Carl F Fly In for flying saucers attracts their attention Carl tells them of an ad he saw in the local paper in which B111 Heller advertised a correspondence course on muscle development After a short bus ride they arrive at a swanky resort located ne r Niagara Falls Here they fina the combined offices of Gail Fluegel and Rita Peters Gail is majoring in divorce cases and Rita is running a lonely hearts club Together they face life making and breaking marriages After this halr raising adventure the visitors decide to return to New York to see Carl McNa1r and his assistant Joyce Henriksen vtho are selling hair restorer For after all S991l lg thls class of 1954 again really made their hair stand on end . . Senior Class Hlstory In the fall of 1950 38 bewrldered students entered Lena Hlgh We elected the followrng officers Gerald Goethe presxdent Marllyn Prasse vrce presrdent Ernest C'1rder secretary Ga1lFluegel treasurer and Larry Hawes class repre sentatrve We were glven a treacherous but lnterestlng 1n1t1at1on by the Sophomores and later thanked them for the fun by sponsormg a return party Our advlsers were MISS Helene Dunn and Mr Russell Blagg The followlng year as Sophomores there were 36 of us left We were led by Jack Carder presrdent Carl MCNHII VICE presldent Larry Hawes secretary Jerry Goethe treasurer and Marrlyn Prasse class representatrve In September we 1n Ytrated the Freshmen and rn return recelved a party from them We presented a one act play SALLY TAKES A BOW on February 4 Mrss Donker and Mr Ma comber were the class sponsors September 1952 brought 35 class members back as mrghty Jumors Our chosen officers were Marllyn Prasse Presldent Gerald Goethe VlCC presldent Carl wrth Mr Burkhalter and Mrs Kane to gu1de us as advlsers We won fxrst place 1n the hlgh school d1v1s1on w1th our float 1n the parade at the Fall Festlval and were off to a good start Our success stayed wlth us and We topped the other classes Wlth sales durlng the magazlne dr1ve Under the dlrectron of Mlss Donker we produced a three act comedy CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN In November We also recelved and proudly showed off our class rlngs The hrghlxght of the year was the prom and banquet held on May 16 The theme Moonhght and Roses was carrled out Wlth a rose garden and huge mellow moon So ended another year wlth all anxlous for the day we would be upper classmen Senrors' The class was back together agam after summer vacfrtlon and selected Dennls Sherman presldent Larry Hawes VICG presxdent Joanne Boeke secretary Robert Staub treasurer and Gerald Coethe class representatne Carl MCNWII and Rlta Peters represented us on the Sports Councrl Our sponsors were MISS Kundert and Mr Trout Our mam goal was to earn suffrclent funds for the ANNALIS and also Sklp day We presented a successful three act play Mother Was A Freshman Baccalaureate servrces were held on May 23 and Graduat1on CXBICISBS were held on May 28 Thus we say goodbye fter what row seems llke four full and happy years ! l ' ' ' : , ' 9 , Z Q . 3 ' , 3 V ' V . 3 A . . . , , 5 , , 1 . - . ll ' 17 ' ' 2 ' , ' 1 , ' ' 3 McNair, secretary: Joanne Boeke, treasurerg and Rita Peters, class representative, , , . c 1 1 .
