BACK ROW: Steve Peyton, Paul Hillenbrand, Cormac Meehan, Dean Strausbaugh, John Larcabal, Victor Hermansen, Doug Luis. , The harriers had a well balanced attack and seemed to be the ones to outrun. These runners deserve a lot of recognition because who puts in more hours of practice than they do? NOBODY. They are up at the crack of dawn run- ning around, rain or shine. They run after school too. By the time a meet comes around these athletes are ready to go, go, go!, and they usually do just that. They fin- ished with a fine team effort from everybody. The girls are up and coming too. They practice equal- ly as hard as the guys, which con- sists of running at least five miles a day. Setting the pace for the Tigers was John Covington, who set a new school record in the three mile course. The women runners were headed by Fresh- man Susan Lafleur, a fleet footed rookie. GIRLS.
