an acknowledgement ef service Fred Bergier has served the Lemoore Union High School District in many ways. He was elected to the Board of Trustees in 1926 and served in this capacity until March 12, 1937 when he became building in- spector for the construction of the Avenal High School. Since the construction of the Avenal High School, Fred has served as building inspector for the music build- ing, the pool and the agricultural building at the Lemoore High School, and the pool and auditorium build- ing at the Avenal High School. ln addition to these duties, Fred has been in charge ot general maintenance ot the two school plants, Painting, plumbing, and electrical work has come under his supervision. Fred Bergier announced his retirement on May 1, 1954. We wish to express our appreciation to him for his interest in our schools. We fully realize that he has contributed much in developing the fine facilities we have at the Lemoore High School. We wish him many years of happy and healthy life.

in appreeiatinn uf service With unselfish devotion in meeting the needs of the young people of the Lemoore High School District and of Kings County, Miss Mildred Logan has served as school nurse in the Lemoore Elementary School and in the High School for the past seven years. Interest in the welfare of young people has been reflected in Miss Logan's successful efforts to secure facili- ties for a well-balanced lunch program for the Lemoore Elementary School children. Not only in Lemoore but also throughout Kings County Miss Logan has served untiringly. She has been an active member on the Kings County Committee on Health Education as well as on the health education com- mittee of the state. Through her efforts the Crippled Children's Society of Kings County was founded, and she now serves as iunior past president and charter member of the Board. Interest in the exceptional child has led to her work on the Kings County unit of the International Council for Exceptional Children, We appreciate Miss Logan's devoted service to the community and her successful endeavors to improve the health of students and to bring greater happiness into our lives. We know that, although Miss Logan is retiring from school duties, she will still serve the community graciously and unselfishly.
