My Impression of My Classmates It ' s surprising how fast the end of our high school clays is drawing near! Befo re that time comes. I want to record a little of the characteristics of each of my class- mates.. That, dear scrapbook, is one reason for your existence. Bonny A|dams, in spite of her quiet exterior, is very pleasant to meet and is my idea of a southern belle, I shall remember Dorothy Altamlrano for her smiles and dimples. She excels in. ditching evening band practices, too. Keiiji Arimura appears to others as very bashful, but he can have a merry twinkle in his eye. Thelma Arnett has been successful in assisting in directing plays. She is trim and neat in appearance. Doris Behney. I recall, is another one of the quiet members of our class. Even force is of no avail with James Belknap when he decides he doesn ' t want to dance in the Pioneer Day parade. Flo.vd Blakeley is our love ' em and leave ' em Romeo. Because of his pleasing per- sonality, he has been a popular Student Body President. Josephine Brazil is rather small and at times there ' s quite a lot of sparkle in her eyes. I know Fred Dillard will be a hobo. His love of leisure far exceeds his ambitions. Lewis Domingos has ambitions to become a politician. Maybe his perpetual argu- ing will he good practice for him. Because of Marjorie Fabry ' s ability to organize and lead, the Tiger ' s ' Voice has had a successful year. Betty Friend has a reputation for apple polishing. Her one desire is to be popular. Eddie Garcia can act and boy! how he dances! His one ambition is to make a hit with the girls. Mayme Garcia has a habit of forgetting school when she wants to go for a ride. ■Vera Gravance, I shall always remember, as being able to do brea ' ih-taking things. People call Frieda Harmon shy, but I don ' t think she is. I know Tillie Hein as a veny friendly person. Bill Harris is very quiet, that is, during the lime he is at school. Since the Senior play. Kathryn Harney has been known as Odessa. Virginia Hickey is coquettish, and her short stature helps her to be so. Nadine Hummel is usually called Hummel. She is one of the girls without curly hair. We all know Onesimo Meiides as Nezzy. He is quitp famous for (his eyebrows. Geraldine Mendonca will be remembered by all as Jerry who was always jolly and fun-loving. Gloria Mideiros has the reputation for the highest scholarship in the class. She will win the Nobel prize some day. I can imagine Jim McCrory a cowboy politician. Leonard McGlone shouldn ' t be so quiet if he wants to become a Romeo. Leonaid Newton is one of our athletes who represented us at the West Coast Relays in the broad jump, and did a good job of it. He is tall, slim, and quiet. Elise Nichols excels in doing nothing, except missing school. Jango Nishimine is a swell person who is liked by everyone. Mary Jane Schattgen hates to be called just plain MarV . She is petite and friendly. Dorothy Short ' s one aim in life is to lose weight. She is quiet and pleasant. Betty Skoegard expresses herself oddly while tumbling. She excels in getting her big toe injured. I ' ll always remember Elvira Sozinho ' s knack of making up excuses to tell Mr. Ward. Who could cut classes and get away with it better than Ann Stevens! Jack Stratton has always been successful in learning his part in plays at the last rehearsal. Alma Summers is usually found talking about her bqy friends. She should always expect to get dirty looks in glee. The Thomas boys, David and Leo, always seem rather quiet. I wonder if they ' re that way when out with a crowd? Laverne Tuzzi is one of our attractive girls who is very capable, too. Iris West is a person who surprises; the biggest surpriss was last February. Gertrude Westrup is a tall and thin classmate. She is very likeable.
