Befo re that time comes. I want to record a little of the characteristics of each of my class- mates.. That, dear scrapbook, is one reason for your existence. Bonny A|dams, in spite of her quiet exterior, is very pleasant to meet and is my idea of a southern belle, I shall remember Dorothy Altamlrano for her smiles and dimples. She excels in. ditching evening band practices, too. Keiiji Arimura appears to others as very bashful, but he can have a merry twinkle in his eye. Thelma Arnett has been successful in assisting in directing plays. She is trim and neat in appearance. Doris Behney. I recall, is another one of the quiet members of our class. Even force is of no avail with James Belknap when he decides he doesn ' t want to dance in the Pioneer Day parade. Flo.vd Blakeley is our love ' em and leave ' em Romeo. Because of his pleasing per- sonality, he has been a popular Student Body President. Josephine Brazil is rather small and at times there ' s quite a lot of sparkle in her eyes. Ethel Brown excels in sports. I shall always remember her genial disposition Clarence Borrecco ' s perfect posture always reminds me of a butler. Jim Cain ' s favorite pastime, as everyone knows, is reading library books in English. Quiet is the word for Dora Cardozo. who is neat as a pin. Her brown eyes dance when she smiles. Since Tony Cardozo ' s success in the Senior play, he thinks his career should be acting. He ' s quite flashy in appearance sometimes. Hdith Chedister is a lively person. She was absent from school quite a bit. X remember. Tall and slim is George Cobb, known as Cobb for short. He represented the boys tor senior honors. June Costa has sufficient style to be a mannequin She has ability in leader- ' ship, too. Imogene Cromwell, known by her friends as Irao , excels in making up excuses when late or absent. I know Fred Dillard will be a hobo. His love of leisure far exceeds his ambitions. Lewis Domingos has ambitions to become a politician. Maybe his perpetual argu- ing will he good practice for him. Because of Marjorie Fabry ' s ability to organize and lead, the Tiger ' s ' Voice has had a successful year. Betty Friend has a reputation for apple polishing. Her one desire is to be popular. Eddie Garcia can act and boy! how he dances! His one ambition is to make a hit with the girls. Mayme Garcia has a habit of forgetting school when she wants to go for a ride. ■Vera Gravance, I shall always remember, as being able to do brea ' ih-taking things. People call Frieda Harmon shy, but I don ' t think she is. I know Tillie Hein as a veny friendly person. Bill Harris is very quiet, that is, during the lime he is at school. Since the Senior play. Kathryn Harney has been known as Odessa. Virginia Hickey is coquettish, and her short stature helps her to be so. Nadine Hummel is usually called Hummel. She is one of the girls without curly hair. Verne Hurlljut is a bit self-conscious. 1 hear he ' s another pest too. Edith Kirk is another one of our outstanding artists. She has won scholarship honors, too. Virginia Larios will never realize her ambition to be taller. Belle Laureana may be described as a fine person to know. Charles Kpps Lovelace is good-natured and can take a lot of kidding. Burton Lowe is usually seen wherever LaVina is. He is one of the smallest boys in the class. i My Impression of My Classmates Because Helen Martin is able to use her head, she should realize her desire to ba a famous scientist. Louis Mattos is a fellow. I believe, who would rather ride a motorcycle than eat. Suzuye Mayeda has always been a retiring person. She is friendly, though, once one becomes acquainted with her. We all know Onesimo Meiides as Nezzy. He is quitp famous for (his eyebrows. Geraldine Mendonca will be remembered by all as Jerry who was always jolly and fun-loving. Gloria Mideiros has the reputation for the highest scholarship in the class. She will win the Nobel prize some day. I can imagine Jim McCrory a cowboy politician. He likes attention from the girls; he likes his boots, too. Dora McDowell excels in riding horses. She will acquire world fame at horse races. Leonard McGlone shouldn ' t be so quiet if he wants to become a Romeo. Leonaid Newton is one of our athletes who represented us at the West Coast Relays in the broad jump, and did a good job of it. He is tall, slim, and quiet. Elise Nichols excels in doing nothing, except missing school. Jango Nishimine is a swell person who is liked by everyone. Ag Club meeting to-day will be remembered as Frank Pereira ' s often-uttered expression. Gilbert Phillips towers above all of us, and loves baseball. Helen Powell is very effic ient and one upon whom we can always depend. I shall remember her as the fairest member of our class. Gertrude Prys is very tall. She is usually seen with another Gertrude. Millard Roberts likes to pester us. I think he would like to be an honor student. Ailene Rose should win recognition as an artist and a musician. Celestine Rose concentrates his efforts in kidding the freshman girls. Mary Roudebush will always be remembered for her fly-away hair. Her pastime is wishing her work was done. George Sakaguchi is quite persistent in whatever he undertakes. One who aspires to make good grades is Clarence Santos. He exceeds all others in being called to Mr. WaiM ' s office in the morning. Mary Jane Schattgen hates to be called just plain MarV . She is petite and friendly. Dorothy Short ' s one aim in life is to lose weight. She is quiet and pleasant. Josephine Silva has become a successful amateur in dramatics. She is a willing helper on many occasions. Hermenia Silveira may be described as modest. She is very trustworthy. Betty Skoegard expresses herself oddly while tumbling. She excels in getting her big toe injured. I ' ll always remember Elvira Sozinho ' s knack of making up excuses to tell Mr. Ward. Who could cut classes and get away with it better than Ann Stevens! Jack Stratton has always been successful in learning his part in plays at the last rehearsal. Alma Summers is usually found talking about her bqy friends. She should always expect to get dirty looks in glee. The Thomas boys, David and Leo, always seem rather quiet. I wonder if they ' re that way when out with a crowd? Laverne Tuzzi is one of our attractive girls who is very capable, too. Iris West is a person who surprises; the biggest surpriss was last February. Gertrude Westrup is a tall and thin classmate. She is very likeable. Basil Wilson ' s favorite pastime is trying to get his jalopy to run. Joy Wilson ' s nickname could be Red. Lately she has gained the reputation of being a ten o ' clock scholar. I shall remember Hilda Woodward for her beautiful hair. She has the distinction of being the only marimba player of our class. —21— Mementos of the 1958 Reunion Banquet and Ball EXTRACTS FROM THE SECRETARY ' S REPORT The reunion ot the Class of IflSS of the Lemoore High School wns called for June 1. 195S in Lemoore with the officers of ' 3S in charge.
