Joe faithfully served L.T.H.S. for twenty years not only as chief Custodian but as a friend to all. He retired on January 15, 1962, and as the months roll by we all miss seeing him, and we look forward to his visits at L.T.H.S. This group had a rough job, but as expected, they came through. As the days flew, we got busy. A record hop, swimming party, and roller skating party kept us go- ing. However, the events that will be most remembered are the Senior Banquet and graduation. Also adding credit to our class were our Student Council members. lim Virtel was chosen President, and his supporting officers were Loretta Vodziak, and Diane Redmon. Other senior members were lvlarylin Frank, Beverly Bramblett, and Bill Wesolowski. On the evening of june 8, we graduated with mixed emotions. Some of us were happy, others sad, but all were filled with memories, Along with these memories was a feeling of gratitude for our sponsors, Mrs. Holmes, lvlr. Mecklenburg, and Mr. Egly, who for four years gave us their expert guidance and1 made our years at L, T, H, S, a success, KENNETH BALCAITIS ELIZABETH BONICK Spanish Club 1 MAY BARNHART Willis High School, John Marshall High School, Librarian 4, Tom- Tom 4 MICHAEL BRACKEN Projector Club 2g Play Production 25 Varsity Club 3, 4g Bowling League lg Football 45 Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4, Baseball lg Golf 3, 4 ANDREW BARRANCO BEVERLY BRAMBLETT Mark Twain High School Student Council 4 F.H.A. 4 WAYNE BROMBEREK NORMAN BUDZISZ. That evening the Junior Class sponsored the Homecoming Dance. A few months later, we launched a very successful magazine drive. In fact, we sold more magazines than any other Junior Class in the history of Lemont High School. Our next venture occurred when we ordered round class rings instead of the traditional square settings of Lemont High. Everyone was surprised but pleased at our choice, Perhaps the most memorable occasion was the fun we had planning the Prom, Reverie Francais, We would like to thank our sponsors, Miss Lyons, Miss Roebuck, and Mr. Beaman for their co- operation and understanding during that period of time when none of the decorations seemed to hang quite right and we were suffering from last minute jitters. Later that evening, Bill Long, our Class President. crowned Bill Gwodz, our Vice President, King of the Prom, and Michalene Pazin, Queen of the Prom for 1962. As the days passed, Dave Woods, our Treasurer, and Tony Welan, our Secretary, looked woefully at our treasurer After the prom, we'll have to really get busy next year to replenish our account. However, our Student Council representatives, Bob Weber, Bob Endecavageh, Larry Larkins, Dorothy Vodziak, Marilyn Weck, and Norine Hanrahan assure us of some unique ideas for next years schedule. So, we're looking forward to our Senior Year at Lemont High School. It will be our last and most rewarding. We chose Rich Garvey for our presidentg Audrey Slivinski as vice presidentg Alberta Goff, secretaryg and Nina Dougherty as treasurer. We then elected five Student Council members: Audrey Slivinski, Gerry Boe, Diane Giusti, Joyce Jackson, and Mickey Trailov. With the help of our four sponsors, Mrs. Bannon, Mrs. Novak, Miss Anderle, Mr. Mohns, and Mr. Galati, we had a car wash, a white shirt day, a roller skating party, and our sophomore dance entitled Moonlight Melody. As our sophomore year came to a close we looked forward to the happy two years which lie ahead of us.
