Lemont High School, accredited with the Uni- versity of Illinois, offers courses preparatory for the Commercial or Academic field. The Secretarial-Stenm graphic Department features Shorthand, Typing, and Office Practice, and the Business Department offers courses in Mathematics, Bookkeeping and Accounting, Business English, and Business Law. Besides these, there are the Social Science studies and also a new course in Mechanical Drawing for the boys. The Home Economics Department was recently enlarged and modernized in structure and equipment to meet the standards of the Smith-Hughes Act. In our Home Economics Department the girls learn to prepare appetizing, nourishing, and well-balanced meals, to sew, and to maintain and decorate the home. Every student shares equally in social events, sports and recreation as well as in classroom training, made possible by our small, congenial student body and friendly faculty. ' 'I
