Vs'arren Scholler MISS ELIEANQIR PHNCIE--Being new at Monroe this year, Miss Pence teaches ninth and twelfth grade English. She is also advisor of the library club, and her expert knowledge in this field has improved the club in many ways. MR. WARM N Sc31io1.1.i1ie-Our new junior high basketball coach this year is Mr. Scholler, who is skillfully building our iunior high players into Monroe's star players of tomorrow. During class time, Mr. Scholler handles the boys' gym and health classes. MISS VIOLIST SIMPSON-Another last year's graduate. who fs helping in the office this year is Miss Simpson. Miss HARRIITI' Srtaoooxi-A new teacher in the musical department of Monroe this year is Miss Steddom. The superb performances of our band and orchestra are a result of her fine direction. MISS MARG,-XRIJI' WI5IiDfr-Beginning the second semester, Miss Weed assumed responsibilities as advisor of our school paper, The Monroe Mercury, which during the first semester was under the direction of Mrs. Guernsey. Miss Weed also teaches sopho- more English and a new subject at Monroe this year, Ere'nch, MR. JOHN VVOUI.L'MS--Three cheers for our very capable coach, Mr. Woolums. He has done a fine job and really de- serves a lot of credit. In addition to his duties as coach, Mr. Woolums teaches biology and senior science. Miss DoRoTm' YIEAGIZR-One of the busiest teachers around Monroe is Miss Yeager. Every minute of every day, you'll find her busily occupied in one of her numerous tasks, and because of her patience and understanding she is a favorite among the students.
