IH' QU sis gp: pg QQQ as was if lh W Although Miss 'Fineman and her higx school dramatists had but one production to their credit this year, the public ovation it received marked the dramatic year at L.H.S. as successful. The local thespians did not enter the annual dramatic meet held at Shippensburg State Teachers College on March 28 and 29. On November 22 a cast of eleven presented the three-ent comedy Linda, by Edward Staadt in the high school auditorium. The scene of the play was laid in the Kaiser farmhouse in Northwestern Iowa. Linda, a young old-maid vho had become embittered towards sll mon because she had been Jilted in her younger days, tried to reap vengeance by turning the farm women of the community against their husbands. She led them in campaigns for ice-boxes, telephones, and all sorts of other modern conveniences. There were strikes, storms, and tears. But finally the ice-man broke down the hard shell of defense Linda Kaiser had built, won her heart, and disappointed all the other old maids in tho community, who had been fishing for him. W The cast of the play appears on the opposite page. Stage helpers were Merrill Bivens, Bernard McLucas, Betty Faith, and J een Gluck.
