june 1970 Dear Leland High: Graduation is here! As we walk down the aisle, reflections of our past three years - laughter, sorrow, friends, teachers, games, dances - come back to us - and then we walk on! Orientation 1966 and we met as a class. We were to be Leland's first class to be promoted from Sophomore to junior to Senior. The rallies and games brought out a new spirit that we hadn't experienced in junior high. We began to feel a spirit that stayed with us throughout our three years at Leland. As juniors, we returned to find a new and dif- ferent year awaiting to challenge us. We found a new Sophomore class, and Seniors, and junior History instead of Drivers Ed. As Seniors we returned to orientate yet another future generation of Leland students. Our Senior Year has been the best - our defeat in football over Pioneer at San lose City, the Senior Carnival, Senior Ice Skating and the Senior Ball. Yes, graduation is here - and we have many mem- ories and reflections of our three years at Leland. May those of you that continue at Leland find your experiences to be as meaningful and re- warding as we have. The Graduating Class of 1970
