0 eggs-.L-:QM Guy Leo kicks off! A determined team with a broken play. Dennis Heath runs another for the Chargers. I was very pleased with the team the last few games because I really think that they finally pulled themselves together, and played outstanding foot- ball. This is probably a good time to give recognition to the boys who really did an outstanding job throughout the year. First, I would like to pay tribute to a boy we lost during the season, Steve Thompson who died of a football injury the third week of football. I think that we lost an outstand- ing citizen. A trophy has been set aside to be given to the outstanding sophomore football player each year. The award was won this year by Tom Menniti, who was also selected to the First Team All-League STAL. He was the outstanding player on the Soph- omore team. The outstanding lineman was David Gotschal, the most versatile football player on the team. He played end, tackle and center. The team captains were Mike Voss and Dennis Heath. HJLQMM

O This year's Varsity Water Polo team showed great determination. Although the Varsity had only one returning starter out of seven positions, they still tied for first. Most of the starters were juniors, and the only returning starter, senior Gregg Menges, missed half of the season with a broken ear- drum-so it was a good year for such a young team. It really was another great year! i Q Varsity Water Polo l TOP ROW: Allen Bennett, Wayne Mathewson, Scott DeVoss, Bill Denhart, Coach Wright, MIDDLE ROW: Bill Critchlow, Mike Moon, Bill McConachie, John McCoy, BOTTOM ROW: Daveed Schwartz, Harry Villers, Mike Sarvis, Grant Mathewson, Dave MacPherson.
