The sgstem was set up so that all students could participate in the student government. New commissioners were set up also. ,A commissioner of Athletics, Drama, Speech, and Kecords were appointed to handle these helds of government. ,fl successful Keg :Dance was held to welcome the new sophomores. Leland 's hrs! semi-formal was the Premier Dance staged bg the ,-1.5. IJ., and enjoged bg all. ,A club dag was also sponsored bg the ,-LS. lf. to inform the students about all the various clubs on campus and how to join them. ,A successful Student ltniou was set up providing live entertainment everg iridag at ,Cunch in an attempt to solve the litter problem. J feel that ,Celand 's government got of to a good start because more students have participated in the activities and realize that evergone has a part in student government.
