Keith Harrington and Richard Payne feed the presses under direction of Mr. Favreau. TRADES consists of numerous practical offerings each year under the direction of practicing tradesmen of this area. Freshmen and Sophomores are instructed in carpentering, cement work, woodworking, practical electricity, welding, forge work, and mechanical drawing. Juniors and Seniors receive work in auto mechanics, metal lathe, and general shop. Other short blocks of time are allotted on alternating years in plumbing, printing, and painting. 11 Trades INSTRUCTORS - Carpentering-Floyd Holden, Welding, IronworkvJohn Robinsong Printing-Clarence Favreaug Auto Mechanics-Richard Kearley. The program offers four years of these classes, intra- mural sports and competitive sports, which are conducted for the most part during the regular school day so that all students have ample opportunity to par- ticipate. Each year, the Raymond Roberts Agency furnishes a new dual-control Chevrolet for use in the Driver Education course sponsored by the American Automobile Association and taught by an instructor train- ed in the A.A.A. Students may take one to four years and learn much of a variety of home- making arts use- ful to all in anticipation of homes of their own. Home Economics Instructor - Mrs. Pratt Marlon and Marjorie learn to thread the electric machines.
