In addition to these basic subjects, each may elect other courses according to his aim, interests, and abilities. Much consideration is given toward helping each student come to decision of satisfaction to himself concerning his future vocational plans. The complete scope of studies and activities open to the students: English four years, Supplemental English four years CHRONICLE, MESSENGER, Camera Club, General, Senior Mathematics, two and one half Dramatics, Debate, Student Council, years of Algebra Band, Twirlers, Cheerleaders, Plane, Solid Geometry and Trigonometry Chorus, Glee Clubs, Songsters, Social Studies four years - Freshman, Senior, Intramural Sports: Soccer, Touch Football, World History and American History Tumbling, Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball, General Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry Ping-Pong, Archery. French two years, Latin two years Basketball Teams, Boys' and Girls', Physical Education four years Girls' Athletic Club, Ski Team, Typing, Bookkeeping, Shorthand - two years each Baseball Team, Softball Team. Homemaking, Trades, Arts and Crafts - four years each Driver Education Students may prepare completely for college at Leland and Gray Seminary, and for those whose in- terests lie in business or a position directly upon graduating, the curriculum offers a selection of courses preparatory to these undertakings. 7
