“twelve oevweyett to t£e o £«t t This year, the students of LHS strived to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. As seniors looked forward to the end of their rainbow, they, along with other students, looked forward to various school activities that would take place throughout the year. Along the way, many memories were created by those who participated in those events. This was the finest year for the Viking volleyball team. The girls faced the challenge of some excellent teams to come out on top at the end of the season with as 12-6 record. The girls won sectionals, then advanced to district, a good accomplishment for all of those involved. The Viking basketball season brought tears of joy and sadness. The first major hurdle of the season was to defeat the undefeated Kalida Wildcats with the score of 52-50. The fans went wild, creating more spirit than LHS has seen in several years. The basketball team continued its triumphant ways by advancing to the district game which was held at the Elida Field House. The fans enthusiastically supported the team and dressed in various shades of purple and gold for the occasion. The Vikes played an excellent game, leading on the score board until the final few seconds. Our season ended with the knowledge that the Viking team was on the move.
