“yt TttcutgaM Pete ' Barbara plays her guitar. George and Susan make plans to marry. ODE TO THE SENIOR CLASS PLAY In the beginning, there were 14 senior cast members, 2 senior, student directors, Ms. Stertzbach, and, of course, Eric. Practicing at odd hours with only half the cast, we found ourselves on opening night with butterflies in our stomachs and bright lights in our eyes. Curtain, Lights, Action — so the story goes ... Some say it was to be serious. The cast felt the play to be a living, vital force. It had emotion, comic relief, anger, confusion, pain, love, and a few mistakes. We had memorized lines, expressions, and positions. The audience responded to the players' delight! Stepping on the stage, to act a totally different personality made us wonder why we weren’t Broadway stars. Of course, talent was never wasted. Although the lights have been turned off, the stage swept clear, the makeup washed away, and the costumes are now collecting dust, no one can ever forget A Man Called Peter. C. Winkle Judith and Jesse bickering, as usual.

Se ti vi O icevy Vice-President Jan Schroeder Secretary Penny Smith President Mark Bidlack Treasurer Connie Niese pitut s4t Jl' S The Class of 1981 was very proud to have Kirsi Poyhonen as a member. Kirsi was from Suolahti, Finland and stayed with the Ken Shidler family. She came to the United States to learn about our way of life and to better her English. She found life here very different, but very exciting. Kirsi's hobbies are swimming, riding horses, bicycling, jogging, and being outside with nature. While in the States, she enjoyed meeting a wide variety of people and forming many new friendships. Kirsi's plans upon returning to Finland include completing her two remaining years of high school. Then she plans to attend college, but presently she is undecided about her major. She enriched the lives of many students at LHS with her outgoing personality and friendly smile. We wish her the best of luck and happiness always in the years that lie ahead.
