The j mouthwatering smell came fcfrom the Home Ec. room, as r the members of the FHA club -and the Home Ec. students created their delicious sweet petal bread. For three days, they baked, packaged, and sold over 600 loaves of bread in order to finance improvement projects for the Home Ec. Department. Many challenges were met | this year by those students who strived to obtain their pot , , of gold. Participation, cooperation, and ability made v it possible for all who worked hard to reach the end of their rainbow. Whether it was sports, club activities, new organizations, etc., LHS students found that student life in school or out of school can be enjoyable as well as rewarding. — C. Bustamante

Academically, the sun also shone on the halls of LHS. Many science students participated in the district science fair contest at Bowling Green. The students were able to continue winning by gaining the District Science Day School Award. This plaque was given to the school with the highest total points for all students participating.
