Senior Class Trip NIAGARA FALLS AND TORONTO CANADA As the seniors of ”76 walk out of the doors of LHS they will not be without the final memories of their last few cherished days of high school. Among these so-called memories will be the Casa Loma, Ontario Science Center, Niagara Falls, Toronto, the bus ride, and Troy the bus driver. These memories will all come back into mind several years in the future when the seniors of 76 ponder back on their class trip to Toronto, Canada. 24

Memories Of The Class Of 1976 Four long - yet seemingly short - years ago we walked through the doors of Leipsic High School to begin the history of the class of 1976. In the fall of 1972 we came together for the first time as classmates regarding our prvious years as young Panthers and Vikings. The project of electing officers then arose. With officers in hand, we were ready to begin. Partaking in the homecoming plaque contest and sponsoring our own dance really made us feel like a part of LHS. With a three month summer vacation behind us, we again reunited to begin our sophomore year. Before we knew it the thrill of selecting our class rings arrived. The day we received them will always be remembered because now we the class of 76 were truly a part of LHS. In the sports scene we were able to land Denny Maag and Duane Niese on tne starting varsity basketball team and a sophomore-dominated reserve squad supported a winnnig season. Before we knew it our junior year was upon us and we were beginning to feel like the upcoming leaders of LHS. As juniors were we victorious in the homecoming plaque contest with our entry, Ya Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. In our magazine drive we raised more money than any class has to this date. With the money earned we were able to give the seniors a prom to remember, Stairway To Heaven, held at Findlay College. Ending our year we worked with the seniors in putting on the successful musical, Funny Girl. The saying, Save the best till last, explains our senior year to a T. What could beja better beginning than the thrill of having Leipsic's first BVC football championship and in June the mighty Viking baseball team brought back a first by winning the Class A State Baseball Championship. This was something we at LHS will never forget and will always cherish. As seniors we brought back the tradition of senior class plays as we put on the two-act comedy You Can't Take It With You. We then worked with the rest of the high school in presenting our first all high school musical, the unforgetable hit Show Boat. On April 11th we journeyed on our class trip to Toronto, Canada. While there we toured the famous Casa Loma and other sights of the city. Our last stop before returning was at the beautiful Niagara Falls. This was a cherished trip we as seniors will never forget. Thanks to the juniors we were able to close our senior year with a beautiful prom entitled We May Never Pass This Way Again, held at the Fort Findlay Motor Inn. In only a few short hours we, the bicentennial class of 1976, sat in the sunshine on Edwards Field and became Leipsic High School graduates. We realize that the steps we took on May 23rd may be the biggest ones in our life, but we worked twelve years to earn the chance to take them, an honor we're very proud of. With that diploma in our hands and the tassel flipped to the other side, we really have left the school that so many of us loved and became an intricate part of. When we walked through that gate we began to feel pressures that we must be ready for in our future years. Whether it be college, a job, or whatever, we will be prepared to tackle them. What we've learned in school and the inborn pride we all have will help us through. Finally the motto of the class of 1976 rang true as we stood on Edwards Field, We are remembering yesterday's memories, we are living for the great moments of today, but already present in our, minds are our dreams for tomorrow.
