HISTSOR of U16 class GI: 1958 CHAPTER I. CHAPTER II. CHAPTER HI. CHAPTER IV . CHAPTER V. OUR FRESHMAN YEAR The fall of 1953 was a memorable time for 55 innocent-looking Freshmen as we entered our first year of high school. It was also the first day of school in our new school. Mr. Stites was elected as our advisor, the lucky man! Ronald Kreinbrink, Scott Moorhead, Richard Hammond, and Rita Basinger were elected as our class officers. On Freshman Day we all dressed up in silly clothes, then we had a reception. After that we were officially Freshmen and on our way. SOPHOMORE DAZE As we started out this year, we all knew our way around much better. We got right down to business and elected Ronald Kreinbrink, Scott Moorhead, Rita Basinger, and Adrian Kuhlrnan as our officers. How to make money was the main question already. Naturally we came up with some clever ideas. For recreation we had a class party. Oh yes, we were learning, too. At least we all looked intelligent! .TUNIORS ALREADY When we returned to L. H. S., we hoped the teachers would still be smiling. As our officers we elected Ronald Kreinbrink, Scott Moorhead, Rita Basinger fyou kids must be doing a fine jobl and Marcia Huntsman. We had a record hop, sold magazines, and tried our luck at acting to make money. The name of our play was We Shook The Family Tree. One of the highlights of this year was our Junior-Senior Prom. The theme was Moonlight Memories. This was ai successful year, and we hope we'1l all be back next year. SENIORS -- -- WHO US? ln the fall of 1957, forty-eight of us returned to the halls of L. H. S. WE could hardly believe we were Seniors. Mr. Stites was still with us as our advisor, but he didn't feel quite so lucky by now. Ronald and Scott were elected this year as co-presidents. fWe think they stuffed the ballot box.D Chris Coffman and Peggy Tooman were also elected to serve our class. Our class sponsored a homecoming dance and game. It was the first in many years. No one can say we're not on the ball! The time was getting nearer for our trip, so we sold refreshments at the games. We also sold Christmas cards and pencils to earn more money. Well, we came out with enough money to go to New York and Washington, D. C. for our Senior trip. By the way, all the time we were doing everything else, we were still studying our books. As we neared graduation, sighs of relief were heard from the faculty as well as the students. GRADUATION We have reached the final goal in our high school days, the goal which we have been striving toward for 12 years. Now it is time to say good-bye to L.H.S. and to go forth into larger things. 22
