A 1 4 oun hugh school oays Personal Dlary Class of 1957 Le1ps1c I-hgh School Dear D1ary Tomght at our f1nal class party our thoughts wandered back to the last four years In September 1953 we began our h1gh school career w1th a feelmg of happy 3.l'lI1Clp3Il0n rrungled w1th a httle fear The f1rst few weeks of our Freshman year were f1Lled w1th the tasks of elecung our class advlsor Mrs Hartley and our class offlcers Bob Hazelton was pres1dent Don Russell Vxce Presldent Joan Kuhlman Secretary and Robert W11l1ams Treasurer Of course the Semors wouldn t have been contented 1f they hadn t been able to show thelr so called superrorxty to us on Freshman day We were glad to welcome Pat Budd mto our class durmg the year Our class then numbered 57 After numerous parues we ended that year feelmg a httle more a part of LCIDSIC lrhgh We entered our Sophomore year feelmg qulte proud to be the flrst Sophomores 1n the new Le1ps1c Public School bu1ld1ng We chose Don Russell as our Presldent w1th Judy Henry Mar11yn Zeller and Tom Weaver as V1ce Pres1dent Secretary and Treasurer Thxs year went fast and soon we were preparmg the recepuon for the oncommg Freshmen In th1s we hoped was waged a frxendly' battle As the year progressed our knowledge mcreased and we began to galn the marks and po1se of upperclassmen In the early sprmg we ordered our class r1ngs whrch we all throught were the greatest So began our ,Tumor year by welcommg Ronald Altman to our class Thts year was an exc1t1ng adventure We chose Don Russell Tom Weaver Judy Henry and Marxlyn Meyers to help us through Our goal was to earn money for our Semor tr1p We began th1s by sponsormg our ,Tumor class play Home Sweet HOI'I11CldS ' In March we undertook the task of sellmg magaz1ne subscr1pt1ons In May we experlenced the thrlll of sponsormg the J un1or Semor Prom Wxth our class cooperat1ng to the fullest extent our prom was a great success Although II d1dn t seem qu1te DOSSlb1C we came through the year w1th the thought of only one more year ahead Bound and deterrruned to make our Semor year b1gger and better than the precedlng years we chose Marllyn Meyers and Tom Weaver as Co Pres1dents Joan Kuhl.man as Secretary and Ke1th Wh1te as Treasurer Th1s year was an eventful one w1th all the respons1b1ht1es of penc1ls Chrxstmas cards concessxons and var1ous other th1ngs a Semor has to do W1th Mrs Hartley s gu1dance we came through our fmal year w1th flymg colors Lookxng back over th1s four year span of our l1ves we can say that our expectauons have been reahzed and the fears have been overcome W1th these values to gulde us may we The Class of 1957 wrtte our h1story lil the Book of Lxfe rntsrmsu J UNIURS SUPHUHUBES N fi ,- ll G xt ' fl B -6, il rf- 'Vi A' - -f 0 .-.. .N 1 -I- 1 1
