Kauai Kauai, Garden Island of dreams, Kissed with freshness everywhere, Mingling with the soft meandering streams, The fragrance of sweet orchards. Rippling mountains and jagged peaks, Shadowy ravines and roaring seas, Kauai, island of enchantment speaks, Farewell and Aloha to thee. QTOI show how much the basketball boys were impressed with the beauty of Kauai and their trip there, this poem is dedicated to the Garden Islandj. --Edwin Imamura Our Flag Above our triangle so green, Our good old Stars and Stripes is seen. So gracefully its banner waves There's not a single thing so brave. It fears not wind nor rain nor sun, If faults it has, I find not one. -Stanley Kaneshiro Fog One morning as I looked through the window, I saw nothing but white. The trees were white, the houses were white Everything was white, And as I walked through the fog, I could feel the cool air touching me gently, As if it were whispering to me.
