ROBERT C. YOUNG Class Day Address Parents, Teachers, and Friends, As president of the Class of 1958 it is a dis¬ tinct pleasure for me to welcome you to our Class Day program. Today, as we review the past four years, many pleasant memories will be revived. To whom do we owe these memories ? Maybe it is our parents who have stood by us during these long but quickly sped years. They who have been joyful with us in our times of joy, helped us in our moments of depression, were proud of us because of our accomplishments, and inspired us on to higher goals. Perhaps it is our teachers who have taught us not only the 3 R ' s but the essential fundamentals of fair play that are so necessary to lead us into the world and to a full life. Or it could be one of our many friends whose thoughtfulness in our well-being showed us the way to life and the fulfillment of our dreams. Yet, underlying all these thoughts, we find a spirit -- the spirit of Leicester High School. A spirit handed down by each graduating class to the freshmen entering in the fall, but yet re¬ tained as they go forth into the world. A spirit which guides us in our athletic contests and in our school projects. May it now help us along with divine guidance as we proceed into the world to prove our worth and to help us live up to the standards set by those who have preceded us.
