4' massive wall murals and the scene of a Paris street cafe. F everish preparations ended just in time for the decorators to go home to dress. Music was by Ethel Water- field and the evening of May 9th, 1952 was pronounced a great success by all. Miss Mary Scannell our advisor was our chaper- one. That year our class lost George Le- merise and Richie Becker. Next fall, 1952, we had at last come into our own,-Seniors. Our first move was to elect as officers, William Lundstrom, Ken- neth Bohlin, Lois Stohlberg and Nancy Luoma. Appointed as a Maroon staff were Ernestine Girard, Kenneth Bohlin, Frances Schliker, Louise Cushing, Carol Bickford, Ellen Kent, Nancy Luoma, William Lund- strom, Rita Mainville, Connie Adamowicz, Connie Page, Gloria Martin, Marilyn Tay- lor, Ruth Hisoire, and Pat Pearsall all under the aggressive direction of Mr. Wallace. With Miss Harmon's advice and with funds for our trip as an incentive we began scouring for Ads to be put in our Senior Play book. Our play, Peck,s Bad Boy,', was a great success both financially and humor- ously. Our cast under the coaching of Miss della Sala and Mr. Sparks included Lester Boyer, Carol Bickford, Ronald Luoma, Alec Van Hook, William Lundstrom, Kenneth l Bohlin, Ellen Kent, Ernestine Girard, Norma Mailea, Frances Schliker, Rita Main- ville, Marilyn Taylor, Ed Lussier and Bev- erly Mason. We were well rewarded for our work when the critics pronounced our play the best in years. After the play we simultaneously began a Christmas Card selling drive and plans for the Christmas Ball. This dance was a great success and we all left for the Holi- days full of visions for coming events. Back from the holidays we again went on an Ad campaign, this time for the Maroon. We also found time to elect Nancy Luoma D. A. R. Representative. Finally we were ready to leave on our trip, the greater majority going along. XVith Mr. and Mrs. Skelley as chaperones the trip was full of fun for all. At last graduation, Senior Dinner Dance and goodbye L. H. S. As we glance back over the years, our memories are a conglomeration of many thoughts, teachers, pupils, games, vacations, and homework. Our Senior year was the shortest and most enjoyable period of all and I am sure weire all sorry to leave. ALEXANDER VAN Hook

Class History It was a happy but somewhat doubtful group of Freshmen who gathered in the halls of Leicester High early in September 1949. Some of us had been here the previ- ous year for the eighth grade, but this was an entirely new experience. As Freshmen we elected, under the able direction of Mrs. Brown, Dale Biehler, President, Kenneth Bohlin, Vice President, Carol Bickford, Sec- retary, Pat Pearsall, Treasurer. That year we spent becoming accustomed to Leicester High and keeping out of the lordly Seniors, way. Much to our regret during the first year we lost Marie Ringgard, Freddy La- Hair, Bob Sandstrom, and Everett Labree. However, we added to our ranks Marilyn Eames, Barbara Wright, Alice Chesmore. NVhen we came back to school in 1950 after a summeris fun we were at least Soph- omores and could ride the freshmen. That year helped by the advice of Mr. Noone we elected as class officers Dale Biehler, Iames O,Donnell, Ellen Kent and Nancy Luoma. That winter We lost Dale Biehler our President who moved to Illinois. Others we lost in our second year were Teresa Kuzmicki, Charlie Harrison, Herbie Maylot, junie Patricks, Alice Chesmore, Barbara Wright, and Bucko Mailea. To make up for this loss Ernestine Girard joined us. At last June rolled around and with it the long awaited Sophomore picnic. We all piled in the bus and were off to Howe Pond for a day of swimming, eating, softball and all- around fun. When we parted for the sum- mer vacation we knew that next year we would at last be upperclassmen. On September 1951 we elected William Lundstrom, President, Kenneth Bohlin, Vice President, Ellen Kent, Treasurer, and Nancy Luoma, Secretary. Pleasant surprise that September was the newcomer Ioan Roberts. The first question turning up was the formidable question of selecting our class rings. After considerable debates and numerous interruptions by Miss Scannell our class advisor, we finally reached a deci- sion. The rings arrived shortly before the holidays. I In january after a short vacation over Christmas we began plans for the big social event of the year-our junior Prom. We elected as committee chairmen: Kenneth Bohlin-General Chairman, William Lund- strom-Chairman Ex oHicio, Lois Stohlberg - Music, Paul Campbell - Photography, Joyce Ring-Refreshments, Connie Page- Publicity, and Ellen Kent-Decorations. Chosen as the theme was An Evening in Paris. The gym was decorated with
