,gg Senior Review Freshmen Off to school we went, thrilled with the prospects of our first year. We'll never forget Bill Dorland chasing Herb Cox across the stage at a pep assembly. Our class officers were Bill Dorland, Dick Wuske, Susie Wilson, and Shirley Carr. Our first class party, Gold Rushf' started our freshman year off with a bangl Carole Rogers added beauty in the picture by her being freshman football attendant. Excelling in athletics was Barb Call, who was the only frosh on the Scarlet and Gray Varsity Basketball team. In boys' sports we saw Dick Wuske, Cy Paumier, Wendell Horn, Tally Maragas and Tom Nist as future varsity athletes. Our exams being over we looked forward to vacation. Sophomores Merrily we skipped along, walking into Mr. Gross's plane geometry class with confidence and walking out in confusion. Being sophomores, we were superior to the freshmen. Heading our class were Cy Paumier, president, Ioe Bow, vice-president, Nancy Helbig, secretary, and Shirley Allan, treasurer. Entering our picture again was petite Nancy Helbig as our football attendant. The theme of our second party was the Polar Fairf' Nine sophomore girls were members of the Girls' Leaders Club while Donna Uebel and Helen Aungst became members of the Thespians. Changing from drama to music we saw Shirley Allan and Bob Watson in A Cappella. Off to vacation with thoughts of becoming full-pledged juniors. Juniors Here we were again. Our first year as upper classmen started off with Libby Burris and Joe Bow as officers of Student Government. Our class leaders were Bob Watson, president, Wendell Horn, vice-president, Donna Uebel, secretary and Evelyn Mueller, treasurer. Pretty Susie Wilson was our football attendant, and slender Carol Geitgey, prom attendant. We'll always remember Student Government's annual Christmas project, the Clean-up campaign, and our class party, Purple Dream. We were proud to see Dave Davis, Helen Aungst, and Donna Uebel in the school play, Captain Applejackf and to see other juniors in the operetta, Holiday. Excelling in speech and in debate was Gloria Feam with the highest number of N. F. L. credit points. Seven proud juniors were tapped for National Honor Society. The finals coming and going we left L. H. S. to return the following year as seniors. Seniors We entered our last year looking forward to graduation, yet wanting to stay at L. H. S. a little longer. We saw Cy Paumier and Gloria Feam as officers of Student Government, Dave Weaver, Tally Maragas, Libby Burris and Sarah Montgomery were elected class officers. Representing our class were Susie Wilson and Donna Lyons as football queen and attendant, respectively. In athletics Dick Wuske was our football captain while Cy Paumier our basketball captain. For the Hrst time we had a combined class party with the juniors called Halloween Haunt. We'll never forget the pysch test, the Tax Stamp contest, the football dance, the prom, and Miss Lehrniller's appearance as a cheerleader. Here we are at Class Day, then Baccalaureate, and last of all Commencement. Then we'll go saying good-by to the halls of L. H. S.
