Cross Country Team Shows Improvement The Lehman High School Cross Country team showed steady improvement in 1985. Under the direction of Coach Ken Ruth, the Cavaliers participated in several big meets showing their best form at the Indian Lake Invitational. At the SRC meet the team improved to a fourth- place finish. Darrell Austin was the Cavalier's top runner winning or finishing high in all races. During the year Darrell defeated more than 1,000 other runners. At the annual Fall Sports Banquet Austin was named the most-valuable- runner while teammate Don Miller was picked as the most improved runner on the 1985 squad. A.
