22fFootball This year the football team re- ceived a new coach, Kavan- uagh. There were bright spots during the season as five seniors received their four-year awards. These team members were Gary Barhorst, Jim Caulfield, Dave Kinnison, Chris Wermert, and Tom Sippel. Other noteworthy accomplishments were Tom Sip- pel with 120 unassisted and assist- ed tackles, Darren Covault lead- ing the team in rushing yards, Dan Paulus and Brian Nicodemus leading in interceptions, and Don Lewis and Brian Nicodemus lead- ing the team in receiving the most completed passes. , i V far 5. . , .,,, F. Jon Koon tied the school record with a 33 against Fort Loramie, while Mark Kinsella was named the MVP after many times captur- ing medalist honors during the season.
