We asked ourselves this question and answered tha t we thought the purpose to record the activ- ities and events of school life, serve as a memory book for students, it should provide an opportunity for student creative effort, and finally it should be an instrument for promoting good public relations between the school and its patrons, We have embodied the school, its life, the training it offers, its recreation and its social development. We hope that our purpose to present something new and different has been achieved, If, in the future this brings you pleasant memories ---of life ---of Leggett High--- our efforts will have been rewarded, Sei iB ies NE We dedicate THE TORCHLIGHT of 1955 to Mrs. Almeta Fisher From 1951 until 1954 she was a member of the Leggett High School faculty, She came to our school a graduate of the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina.
