Building. George has done some mighty fine work as well as make some new CLASS PROPHECY Strange things have happened in the last ten years to the Seniors of '48 I shall never again be surprised at anything that happens. My travels have not been extensive, but in the next few paragraphs I will try to tell you the people I have seen and bring you up to date on their where abouts and their lives. While I was in Richmond on a tour, I bumped into Rosa Lee Brake, who is an interior iecorator for a large department has gotten the bug too--she's in love! Next Bobby Grimes with the U.S.Navy Department in making has rounds for the Navy, we hear that port. Girls, you passed up a good prospect! store. Guess at last Rosa Lee on my sojurn, I found Captain Washington, D.C. When he was he had a sweetheart in every Red neon lights flashing on and off on Breadway brought to my eyes the name of Odell Manning. Yes, our own little home town girl makes good ---- first as a Powers Model. Now she is playing hit. Bill Dupree, also in New York City, is photographers. He has quite a collection of of wonders you know, George Anderson is now the lead role in a Broadway one of the most exclusive pictures. New York is a city radio engineer at the RCA 0 inventions which we shall all see on the new radios. Emma Doris Lewis, once a declared old maid of the class of '48, has opened a dancing school in Qarboro. She received her training at Arthur Murray's in New York. It seems as though New York was quite popular among our friends. Attention!! Let's peep at the theatre guide to see what is playing. Surely enough--it's HRiding the Trail in Texasn--starring Allan Lane.and Fuzzy Knight with North Carolina's LONNIE WALSTON as Bert Carrol. Returning to our own camping grounds, I will try to review the news in that vicinity--After ten years Ruby Norris decided to tie the know to some fortunate C?J man, however, she will continue her work at Adler's. Just imagine Adler's without Ruby Norris. Can you imagine Beverly Gammon as a farmer's wife who lives Weastn of Tarboro? We hear that she is going to leave soon to take up her work as an artist again. some say a change is always pleasant! After working for several years in Rocky Mount, Eula Mae Wads- worth decided that she would try a hand at marriage. Now she is rearing a family and is quite successful tool Gloria Causway and Rachel Penwell are sticking close to their homes. Gloria is a nurse in Edgecombe General and she is having a nice time with all the young new interns. Rachel, principal of the Speed School, graduated from East Carolina Teacher's College with high honors. I don't know whether I am seeing straight or not--but I believe I've seen Ava Cutchin's name in the nSpeed High Lightu. She was married by Reverend Leslie Wickham in the little church at Speed. Rev. State College, married a West Edgecombe girl, and started breedigg seed for the state. William has received much reqognisation in the hybrid corn field. Remember the talking machine of our class? Mamie Ellen Taylor hasn't stopped talking or succeeding as a saleswoman since our graduation. She is now vice- president for a large commerical company--but most important she is engaged to the president. Yes, fellow classmates, my travels with my husband, who is now a captain in the U.S.Army, have brought me in contact with all the '48 graduates. I hope in another ten years to find them just this successful and happy. Wyoming Adcock, Prophetess
