The accomplishments of this goal can be achieved by each of us striving to take full advantage of the wonderful opportunities that are offered to us daily in our schools, our homes, and our communities. The many fine accomplishments that have been recorded in this out- standing yearbook are evidence of your contributions toward achieving this goal. You are to be commended for each of them. May these be the beginning steps you have taken toward numerous future accom- plishments. My very best wishes to you for much success and happines in you future endeavors. Superintendente. Creighton Owen 18 Leadership Vernon Parish School Board Dr. H. Lynn Russell: LHS Principal Throughout this school year, the comment most overheard from teachers and parents has been, What an outstanding student body we have this year. ” I agree. In more than nineteen years of working as a teacher and administrator in the public schools, I have never known a better group of students than those who made up the student body of LHS this school year. To a great extent, this must be credited to the seniors of 1977, for the seniors set the tone for the student body. However, a hard-working junior class, an up-and- coming sophomore group, and an excited group of freshmen all cooperated to make this a great year for all of us at LHS.
