Few if any students spend many days at LHS without receiving the assistance of this lady in any number of ways, and any mem- ber of the faculty or administration is quick to commend her for the innumerable ways in which she helps the school. Her hours are long, her work is excellent, her loyalty is true, and with- out her this Yearbook as well as many other programs of the school, would have suffered immeasurably. Each night they slaved making flowers and more flowers. Many suffered from the case of ring a- round the eyeball and aching bones, but they struggled on, even though they continuously ran out of red, black, and white tissue and crepe paper. More difficulty was encountered when a class called the Seniors would sneer at them, however the JUNIORS never gave up. Soon the day came that the jud- ges would choose the best float. But due to the fact that the judges ar- rived late, they only saw the soph- omore float and awarded them first place. But we know who deserved first . . . The Army's Delayed Entry Program makes it easy to enlist for the Army option you want. Join at a time convenient to you. Now, men and women can enlist in the DEP and wait up to 180 days before they go on active duty. There are no drills or other commitments before you report for enlistment in the Regular Army. This can be the way for you to program your military activities and schedule your departure from home and entry into the military service. Wrap up what you are doing now with the assurance of knowing your exact departure date and of the training you will be enlisting for upon termination of your time in the DEP.
