Our Principal Recalls Memories WAMPUS CAT STUDENT BODY: The 1969-70 school year closed out the sixties and embarked the seventies. We have witnessed one of man’s greatest achievements - the landing on the moon. The coming decade proves to be just as exciting and challenging, and your generation will play a very active and responsible roll in its development. We have had a tremendous school year. I feel that each of you was a most significant part of this success and there were a thousand this year to share in this acclaim. Our school has been a unified body with each student assuming a part of the responsibility. You have en- countered one of lifes experiences - to give and to take. To be able to take as well as to give is an unselfish and human quality that enables us to understand, appreciate and respect others. In closing, I would like to extend to each of you my heartfelt appreciation for your coopera- tion, understanding of school policy, and willingness to share in a common goal - a school, Leesville High School, that we, our parents, and our community are proud to identify with.
