Editor's Our year was a very busy one, solving prob- lems and opening new doors each day to a new and different way of life. As you turn through the pages of the 1966-67 Wampus Cat, I hope that you can recall old experiences and add new ones of your own. I should like to thank you for giving me the privilege of working for you and a special thanks to the yearbook staff for its cooperation and a job well done. As you look through these pages, may they remind you of doors you have passed through. May you realize these portals opened new avenues of opportunity and responsibility in adult life. Message KEY: That which serves to explain or solve something; that which permits entrance. Tandy presented Mr. John Dempsey with a gift at the Dedication Assembly”.

Dedication You have been an integral part of the life at Leesville High School since you entered as a freshman. After graduation, college and a few years later you returned to make L.H.S. a better place to work and play, because as a student you realized the needs of a growing school. You have always been interested in the student life of L.H.S. When Homecoming rolled around, you were there to help work on class floats. The success of the Junior-Senior prom was made possible through your help. Not only are you active in the social world of the students, but also in their aca- demic life. Through your ability to teach math and science our knowledge of educational essentials and life has been furthered. Aside from giving us the knowledge of books, you are a friend to us all. MR. JOHN YOUNG DEMPSEY For all these reasons and more, we dedi- cate the 1966-67 WAMPUS CAT to you— MR. JOHN YOUNG DEMPSEY.
