Student Council President A year of education, memorable ex- periences, and progress has ended. It has been both an honor and a privilege for me to serve as the president of the 1966-67 Leesville High School Student Council. The Student Council is a representative body of students, so it is up to you to make it function as such. I commend the student body of 1966-67 on their efforts to do this, and I challenge the 1967-68 student body to carry through in the same spirit and continue to make the L.H.S. Student Council the true voice of the students. Now, a challenge to the youth of America, of which we are an integral part. My chal- lenge is simply, Cherish America, for Ameri- ca cherishes you, the individual; strive to better and strengthen America, for America has done so for you; and finally, protect America, for Americans have protected you.’’ e protected you. President, Student Council 13
