Harmony Reigns at Leesville the Students and Our churches provide the spiritual enlightenment that each of us needs. Religion in- stills in us the desire to work with others and teaches stand- ards for all of us to live by. Mrs. Curry Ford presents David Smith, student body president, and Mr. Kimble Marler, world history teach- er, with American flags. The flags were donated by the Pilot Club of Leesville and were given to the So- cial Studies Department. Mr. T. L. Berry, Mayor R. J. Fertitta, Gen. Kelsie Reeves, Commanding General of Fort Polk, Senator Speedy Long, and Mr. Cutris Bradshaw tour Leesville High School. Because so many of the students at LHS are military dependents, our schools function more efficiently due to the interest displayed by officials of school, city, and Fort Polk.

High Through the Help of the Community Leesville High students pose on the steps of the Courthouse. Through law enforcement and civic- minded citizens harmony reigns in our community. The students play a vital role in making our city a better place to live. Our television system was displayed at the Louis- iana State Fair. This is another example of how har- mony exists between the school, community and state. Many LHS students use the parish library for their school work. Here some Leesville High students use the educational facilities available to the public.
