The next day I hopped into my little airplane and headed for Leesburg, The town, to my surprise, had flourished in the oyster business, Yes, oysters: While Bill Dausman and Vanator were fishing one day on the lake, they discovered them quite by accident, They are now business partners thriving on oysters, Miss Catherine Marvel, the society pacer in Leesburg, has just purchased a string of pearls from them, Catherine asked me to tea at her home on Plum Boulevard, where she had another guest, Marilyn Loher, the great Hawaiin Guitar player, I learned she had spent the past ten years in Hawaii studying, I stopped in at the Hummel farm on the outskirts of Leesburg to speak with Marvin before I left for California, He now owns a number of farms around the State, In California, my assignment was to interview the owner of a newly founded gold mine there, The wife of the miner was Anna Shively, She was going to the Rose Bowl to see Bob Ververda play and invited me to join her, Bob is now the coach of the most powerful football team in the country--the Oswego Giant Midgets, By this time, it was time for me to get back to my office in New York, I took the nearest subway--got off at Times Square--and am now writing an account of the Senior Class of 1950, ten short, but mighty, years ago, I5 WETYEWY Q fi Q Q Q wmwgzagamxywgm x xv Qf db A,- Z X .J Q i Juniors 4-an 1 'T I-QA hi TOP ROW: Bob Ellis, Barbara Wallace, Bob Allen, Pat Noel, Loren Pound SECOND ROW: Pamela May, Howard Lux-sen, Retha Loziezr, junior Long, Caroiyn Loher, THIRD ROW: jim Heierman, Oma May Stookey, Ellis Hartman, -Q -1 QUEENLE INDEPENDENT BIG B-B-B-BOB ELLIS n Sophomores joe Wildmux, Tom Buskirk, Bob Shively, Edward Handgen Bonnie Lou Scott, Nancy Godshalk, Fern Method Robert Abbott, Danny Shroyer jirn whfkilll 18 Eighth Grade TOP ROW: Delores Haines, Patricia Tusing.
