L.H.S. RAVELINGS 1928 Qllaza 'ltliatnrg CLASS history is a lot like a problem in arithmeticg adding. sub- tracting, multiplying, and dividing. Adding the new membersg subtracting those who leaveg multiplying the students times their books. and dividing their knowledge from their books. the results are the graduates. Some are cancelled out and some are carried over and at last the answer is reached. Applying this principle to the class of '28, you will find that the original 18 multiplied by 4 years of high school will result in 9 graduates. In the year of 1924. eighteen students entered Leesburg High School. In addition to the nine who graduate there were: Ruth Replogle, Fred- erick Vanator, Carl Kilmer, Paul McKibben, Ernest Dye. Olive Murphy. Mildred Gay, Bemis Stookey, and Esther Bricker. This will equal our number to start. During that year Olive Murphy and Ernest Dye can- celed out. The rest carried over into the next year. VVhen we returned we were minus Paul McKibben, but Margaret Cremeen was added. During that year Carl Kilmer, and Mildred Gay canceled out and Ruth Replogle was subtracted. Pass over another summer and We begin our Junior year. This time minus Margaret Cremeen and Fred Vanator: but plus Harold Men- dell and Charles Miller. Subtract Harold Mendell at Christmas, and that iinishes the year. In 1927 nine students entered Leesburg High School as seniors. These were the ones who had carried over from the Junior year. We were minus Bemis Stookey. Esther Bricker, and Charles Miller. The mathematics problem is ended: we have our answer: nine graduates. MARJORY MEEK. 'Qs l':u:n- S I
