IJ 54 E759 E, 54 A1 fi Q. 74 I rl V W Classrooms A celebration for the future Though some felt the classroom was a nightmarish experience, others went to class for their own sake and survival in college, in yobs, in life When walking down the hall, melodramatic sounds roared from teachers out of some classrooms Others were heard sending stu dents to never never land with therr droning voices Some Stu dents never drifted off to sleep because of the BOOMING voices of teachers Other familiar sounds were of people shuffling papers and pencils Upon walking into a classroom, GREEN CHALKBOARDS blared at everyone every student s nightmare The next thing most people would see, were torture devices called chairs that allowed for no slouchlng Messages from 20 years ago, carved permanently on top, spoke to the prisoners of the present about celebrations of the past. By the end of the year, celebrations of learning slithered through the minds and bodies of everyone the thrill of excitement . . . the tingle of anticipation . . . the frustration of a red pen . . . the happi- ness of an E . . . some felt they were walking in a dreamland of their own. 4-Opening
