ntertainment around town The weekends were a must to each student who put in five long days of school and work, for it gave them a chance to get away without any school obligations. For many it was a time to party. Entertainment cou e y to the outer limits of Kansas City. The eighteen bars in Kan- sas were another hot spot students could be found. POGO s, Daddy Joe's, One Block West, Nashville Replay, and the Merry Go Round were among the favorites for dancing and 3.2 beer ld b found an where from Lee's Summit drinking. There were two highly remembered events of l982. The tea party that will never be forgotten, due to the awful tragedy of the collapsment of the catwalks in the Hyatt Hotel, located near the Crown Center. ln contrast, to the tragedy, was the most awaited group ever to come to Kansas City, the Rolling Stones! The lucky few who received tickets were to attend the most exciting concert of the year. And some found entertain- ment AROUND TOWN . . .
