School boord plons district s projects The decision making process for the R-7 school district starts at the meetings the second Thursday of every month in the old Miller Park Grade School, now the Central Office. Such ideas as the betterment of our special education de- partment, the construction of our new Fine Arts Building, and the budget of how much was to be spent in these areas were derived by these administrators. They have the duty of setting the policies and seeing that they are carried out. Mr. Robert Gourley was the president of the school board and Mrs. Helen Shiddell worked as the board's secretary. Dr. Bernard Campbell, superintendent, and Mr. Stan Magady, as- sistant superintendent, supervised functions of the R-7 school district. Board Members: Dr. Dan Blackwell, Mr. Bob Gourley, Mrs. Diane Sperber. Fldminlstrotion odds two new princlpols There were two new additions to the administrative team I In Div I Mrs Cheryl Rohner, former counselor, is now a vice principal and Mr jerry Cooper came to Div Il as a vlce- prlncipal from Blue Springs. Mr. Cooper had a very posltlve feeling about LSHS and his main goal was To get on a first- 4 name basis with everyone. Mrs. Rohner was very pleased to be a vice-principal. Div. Il principal Mr. Robert Diekmann felt good about our school's progress. Mr. Diekmann said ln the past many kids were only interested in themselves, but now they are really starting to notice one another. Mr. Diekmann felt that this school was one of the best academic schools in the Kansas City area sl: 3 X31 ii? .
