r i .,. ,,., ,, -,L,,,,........1- f 4 Queen candidates and escorts gathered after the parade for the annual pep rally. Fall had come and Homecoming was once again at Lee's Summit. Spirit Club initiates ran around school with hair rollers in their hair and I love seniors' signs pinned to their shirts as they read love letters to the senior football players. Spirit days filled the week. Students and teachers observed Hhick' day by dressing in overalls and flannel shirts and security day by bringing teddy bears fone went as far as to wear pajamas and bring a baby bottlej. Jersey day brought football jerseys of all kinds into LSHS halls while 4'fifties day brought back memories for teachers and fun for all. Everyone got into the Homecoming spirit on the tra- ditional black and gold day. The parade took place on a sunny, crisp, autumn day in the peak of the football season. People of all ages lined the streets to watch attendants and queen candidates followed by floats and school groups. The pep rally in the Central Office parking lot turned out to be a big success. Many students, faculty members, and Lee's Summit citizens showed up to show the Tigers they were loved. At the ral- ly it was announced that seniors took first place in class float competition, and the Spanish Club won first place in club float competition. The clowns were named first in the miscellaneous category. The Homecoming game proved to be quite exciting. At halftime Cindy Shuck was named Homecoming Queen, and the Tigers were victorious over the Chrisman Bears 26-12. Instead of the traditional Friday night dance, the dance was on Saturday.
