David Gardner The Man Who Came to Dinner was presented as the fall drama on November 17th and 18th. The Dlay dealt with the problems in the recovery of the domineering radio figure of Sheridan Whiteside. After falling on a patch of ice he was confined in the house of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley until he could walk out. During The Man Who Came To Dinner ' the course of his recovery his secretary, Maggie Cutler, fell for a newspaper man, Bert Jefferson. So as not to lose Maggie, Whiteside called in the starlet Lorraine Sheldon to take Bert's mind off Maggie. Beverly Carlton dropped in to visit and almost succeeded in breaking up Lorraine and Bert. Whiteside saw the error in his way and finally allowed Maggie to leave to marry Bert. The students that participated in theproduction of this play worked hard to produce this lively comedy. Under the direction of Mrs. Warren the students put in long hours of rehearsal and should be congratulated for a fine production.

Jerry Reeves and Patty Cook led the march. Saturday in the Park Saturday in the Park , the theme of the prom this year, gave forth a relaxed, park-at-twilight at- mosphere. Hard work and late hours by a handful of Juniors and their sponsors made Prom a tremendous success, with over 200 couples attending. Decorations were centered around the pastels of yellow, blue, and pink. Colorful hand-drawn murals depicting a picnic scene, the band, an ice cream parlor, and young love covered the walls like a delicate icing. The center attraction, located in the middle of the floor, was a bridge over dual wishing ponds. Brick sidewalks divided a grassy area from bark surrounding the ponds. A quaint, white picket fence went around all of this center park area. The dance floor was sectioned off by a creative bit of im- agination - trees, with pink and white blossoms. Positioned on a gazebo was the band, Spirit of Charisma. The band was excellent, and kept this 1973 crowd jiving into the night. A tour around the field house allows proud parents one last glance On the gazebo - The Spirit of Charisma! Dligrnity and femininity were most apparent prom nig t. x I These
