Communications was the key word with the new innovation ot a student ad- visory committee. The committee served to suppliment Mr. Brockman's ideas concerning the student body activities. In addition to selecting teachers and supervising instruction Mr. Brockman was responsible for registration, curriculum and enrollment. Dr. Bernard Campbell Superintendent The Board of Education this year was headed by Dr. Bernard C. Campbell, superintendent and Dr. Underwood, assistant superintendent. The Board members and their professions are: president, Dr. Russell H. Ritter, optometrist, vice-president, Dr. lVl. D. Durnell, lVI.D., E. lVl. Copeland, farmer and businessman, Owen Covington, farmer and busi- nessmang lohn Hertzog, veterinarian, and Philip T. Schauffler, business- man. 1968-69 school year was the 20th year ot Reorganization. Dr. Campbell is in charge of plans for a new junior high building which will hopefully be approved by the tall ot this year. - Dr. Underwood is in charge ot formulating curriculum, selecting text books and testing materials. He works closely with Dr. Campbell in the employing ot new teachers. lVlrs. Helen B. Shiddell is secretary, lVlrs. Virginia C. Patton is treasurer and Donald C.
