A Coach-Charles Childress Co-Captains-Baker, Paur The Lee's Summit Tigerettes started the season at the Greenwood tournament. They then ventured over to Ruskin, where they won sportsmanship. Then they won third place at the Lee's Summit tournament, then being defeated at Pleasant Hill ended the season. The three girls who made the all-star team were: Forwards, Marilyn Jones and Norma Shippy Guard, Donna Nealy. These girls played very well and fully deserve this honor. The next year squad will miss Norma Paur and Virginia Baker, because of graduation. Hook, Carter ' The powerful Tiger quintet, besides winning second place in the Greenwood Tournament. were titalist of the Conference Tournament at Ruskin, their own Lee's Summit Tournament, Pleasant H111 Tournament and the post-season sub-regional tournament held at Independence. After ad- vancing to the Regional Tournament, by winning the Sub-Regional Tournament, East of Kansas City was defeated and the Tigers qualified for the semi-finals, only to be edged out by a towering Westport team. Coach Childress will miss the services of J. Hook, Mitchell, Carter, Bryan, Brummett, and Ensworth who will be lost by graduation this year.
