Twentyfseven boys were enrolled in Vocational Agriculture this year and most became members of the Future Farmers of America. One of the first activities of the organization was a hay ride and watermelon bust with the Home Economics Departments as guests. This event was held the evening of September 13th, and two hayframe loads of boys and girls and faculty members enjoyed the occasion. On November 17th, the F. F. A. boys and the Home Ec. girls held a box supper for the purpose of entertainf ment and raising funds for the two clubs. Dancing, games and contests were held and Virginia Baker's box was the best decorated and received a prize. Bidding for box es was lively and some of the boxes brought over five dollars. . Several games of soft ball were played in the fall, football was played and during the winter several hot basketf ball games were played with Belton and Pleasant Hill. Some of the boys tried boxing and found out it was a man's game. Some of the boys and faculty members went on a camping trip last summer to Bennett Springs. Jack Yxfilf liams won prizes on his hogs at the American Royal and Maurice Wright will soon appear in a motion picture. -+-ng-we S -LE 1 ' L ' ' -- f' - 'f '-L' --'C'1'eAf: fa''-'P-aS:g12'S'vH:fvl4'r1f'KPv2x-v'??i:e?avLwea-:sfE!:s2,le9:H,,'.-' . -ei-esazeiefei-1-assweaeaifqgeayeaeggg -4:57 F ,527 .1 5-'qi-:E , f-:ff '14 lf? iics .nd inf vas ive et' s a file PAGE THIRTY-NINE SENIOR 1944-'45 ERNEST BIERI F.
